Benefit Screening of The Dreamer Cinderella to benefit Survivor Justice Center. Because our stories matter LATINAFest, the largest cultural outdoor festival in the U.S. focused on Latinas, has partnered with Dr. Ruiz Productions to present an advance benefit screening of their feature film The Dreamer Cinderella. This benefit screening comes ahead of the film's national theatrical release on January 23, 2026 .
The screening will benefit the Survivor Justice Center, a non-profit organization who offers services to the immigrant community.
At LATINAFest, our mission has always been to celebrate everything Latina—our stories, our resilience, and our impact. Supporting Latino filmmakers like Dr. José Luis Ruiz, writer, director, and producer of The Dreamer Cinderella, helps ensure that our authentic stories are told and seen on the big screen.
The film follows Xochitl, a Mexican-American fruit vendor whose world changes when a powerful Hollywood director makes her the subject of a bold bet with his rival. Through themes of identity, perseverance, and self-worth, The Dreamer Cinderella captures the essence of the immigrant experience in the U.S. The film is slated for nationwide release on January 23, 2026.
